Royal Sonesta Hotel

This is a beautiful new hotel right on Bourbon Street with lots of balconies. You will want to book your room early to ensure you get balcony space.

These rooms have either one king bed with a window view of the French Quarter or two double beds with a window view over the pool or courtyard. These rooms have the same amenities as the Deluxe Rooms, but are a little smaller.

Some of our larger rooms, with either 1 king bed and a window view over a French Quarter street, or 2 doubles and a window view over the pool or courtyard.

These rooms are a little larger than the standard rooms and have French doors opening to either a balcony overlooking either the pool or courtyard areas or doors that open directly onto the pool deck. These rooms can come with either 1 king or 2 doubles.

Bourbon View Balcony rooms $199 (192sq. ft.):

Rooms with French doors opening onto a spacious, covered, wrought iron balcony that wraps around the building. These rooms all have access to a balcony that faces Bourbon St. Some of the rooms are just around the corner on Conti and Bienville Streets, but all of the rooms have access to the wrap around balcony that will get you those great views of Bourbon St. There are either accommodated with a king or two double beds.

Rooms with French doors opening onto a spacious, covered, wrought iron balcony that wraps around the building. These rooms face Bourbon & Conti or Bourbon & Bienville Streets. This suite can be upgraded to a two bedroom suite by renting the adjoining room. There have a parlor with coveted wet bars and plenty of space accommodating between 50-150 people-with a bird’s eye view of one of the most famous streets in the world. Also available as a two bedroom suite.

There is only one Honeymoon suite in the hotel. It is a one-bedroom suite, with a kingsize canopy bed, a full Jacuzzi with mirrored walls, and a breakfast nook, and has French doors opening to a balcony over the courtyard. The Jacuzzi in this suite is the largest in the hotel and has room for friends.

Located on the third floor and features one bedroom. There are two seating areas in the parlor, a dressing room and bar. This suite features hardwood floors and French doors that open onto the courtyard of the pool. This is a very nicely appointed suite, recently renovated with original artwork, comfortable sofas and nice oriental rugs. The bathroom offers double vanities, Jacuzzi jets in the tub as well as a separate stand up shower. This suite can be upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite.

This one bedroom suite is located on the second floor and opens onto a semi-private terrace overlooking the hotel’s tropical courtyard. It offers upgraded bedding and two large seating areas. It has been remodeled and has a very nice bathroom (the tub has Jacuzzi jets and there is a separate marble shower) and a bar. The French doors lead out onto a balcony that leads to the pool. This suite can be upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite.

Identical to the Governor’s suite, this one bedroom suite is located on the fourth floor and overlooks the pool. With a spacious parlor, bar and dressing room the suite features French doors that lead to a balcony that overlooks the pool. This suite can be upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite.

These newly renovated single room Jacuzzi Suites are enormous, with extra large seating areas, bathrooms and closets. These suites are also available with either a king bed or two doubles. The highlight of course is your own private Jacuzzi-which is located right in the main suite with mirrored walls. This is a very sexy suite that is perfect for inviting friends to join you in the Jacuzzi.

Split-level Pool Suite $250 (408 sq. ft.):

These suites are on 2 floors overlooking the pool, with a connecting spiral staircase. There is a king bed in the bedroom and a sofabed in the parlor. Most suites only have a bathroom in the bedroom. All these suites have French doors opening out from either the bedroom or parlor. This is the perfect pick if you have 5 other couples that you want to share a private area of the hotel with.

Split-level Patio Suite $250 (408 sq. ft.):

One large room, about twice the size of the regular sleeping rooms, with a bedroom at one end and a sitting area at the other. These suites are located throughout the hotel, but they are all window views. None have French doors or balconies. They can be requested to have either 1 king bed or 2 double beds, and most also have a sofabed.

Tower Suite $450 (698 sq. ft.):
Private VIP floor with key access in the elevator, Concierge service, daily continental breakfast, an afternoon tea service (tea, cookies, port, sherry, and truffles), use of Sonesta towel robes, whirlpool jets in bath. This room is very large and it has a very nice outdoor patio with a view of the French Quarter. It is very quiet & there is a partial view of the pool courtyard.
